HLAA is a national self-help group serving persons who are hard of hearing or deaf, esp. adults. They lobby for the legal rights of persons with hearing impairments. HLAA has local chapters across the country, including a chapter in southwestern Michigan.

American Tinnitus Association

ATA is a self-help organization for persons who have ringing, buzzing, or other abnormal noises in the head or ears. ATA supports research on the cause and treatment of tinnitus.

Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing

DODHH is part of the Michigan Department of Labor. DODHH supports deaf and hard of hearing workers who need assistance ensuring their civil rights are protected in the workplace. DODHH an advise employers and workers on how to follow state and federal laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.

National Cued Speech Association

NCSA is an organization of families and professionals who use Cued Speech to communicate. NCSA lobbies for the rights of deaf and hard of hearing persons and for special education laws for hearing impaired students. NCSA teaches Cued Speech and trains and certifies Cued Speech transliterators.

John Tracy Clinic
