Cleaning the RITE and RIC Receivers

Wipe the hearing aid off with a soft cloth daily.

Check whether the speaker is clean and free of ear wax and moisture. If it is blocked, use the tools provided with your hearing aid to clean the opening.

If the sound outlet of an RITE or RIC hearing aid is blocked by wax, the hearing aid will be weak or silent. When that happens, change the waxguard . If you do not know how to replace the waxguard or cannot do it yourself, your audiologist will be happy to do it for you.

If the speaker wire becomes damaged, see your audiologist to get it replaced.
